Massage and Movement . . . Sportsmassage, the Meagher Method This class will be offered to the first 12 applicants as a continuing education offering. CEU's will be offered as well so this is the perfect opportunity for LMT's or Equine Therapists that need CEU's. Applicants must be human massage certified WITH horse experience or a Graduate of an equine massage program that has included point therapies and in depth anatomy and kinesiology. We ar looking at having this class in New England in the fall. The investment for this workshop is $449.00 which includes all materials and lunch both days. There may be a nominal fee added to cover travel expenses and lodging depending on the number of students. This class will be offered By: Mike Scott, LMT, CSF Robert Altman, LMT, BS Robert Altman: A twenty six year veteran in the field of equine sportsmassage, Robert Altman has worked with the Canadian Equestrian Team at the Barcelona Olympics and the World Equestrian Games at the Hague. Robert has also worked with the USET at four world driving championships as well as numerous international three day events. Robert was a member of the Association of Equine Practitioners Committee on Therapeutic Options and was instrumental in the development of standards of practice for equine massage. Robert has been featured in numerous equine publications both here and abroad. He is also the director of the Jack Meagher Institute. Robert is also one of two that has been entrusted with the legacy and lifelong work of Jack Meagher. Mike Scott: Since 1985 Mike has been a human and equine therapist. He has traveled the world with athletes, both horse and human at various events including world championships. He is also a saddlefitter and co-director of The Equine Massage and Saddlefit School in Camden SC. Equine Fascial Energetics™
New dates for EFE class to be held in Camden, SC at the new school will be announced.
Our most recent Equine Fascial Energetics (EFE) class was met with great results. There were many therapists in attendance that have been working in the field for many years and all went home with new techniques and a different outlook on the material.
The goal of this Continuing Education class is to help the practitioner understand the consistency and make up of the fascial matrix as well as the correspondence between Fascia and Energy work.
Healing with Intent, Compassion and Intuitiveness is stressed throughout the class. It is a no pressure class that is fun and full of great information! Participants should have 6 months field experience before applying. However, owners or other interested applicants may be accepted after speaking with Mike directly.
